Vāyu said: “The mighty king Dhṛtarāṣṭra sat continually upon the throne, while the noble Vidura stood ever present in his service. How can you—born in that very lineage—resolve to split the family? O lord of men, unite with your brothers and enjoy the rightful pleasures together.”

Vāyudeva addresses a royal figure, recalling Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s court where Vidura faithfully attends him, and rebukes the addressee for planning a family split, urging him to unite with his brothers and enjoy rightful gains together.
