Vaiśampāyana said: O Janamejaya, the foe-subduing Keśava (Śrī Kṛṣṇa), having returned from Hāstinapura to Upaplavya, related to the Pāṇḍavas the entire course of events there exactly as it had occurred.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights satya (truthfulness) and responsible counsel: Kṛṣṇa, as envoy, reports events exactly as they occurred, enabling ethical decision-making. Accurate testimony is presented as a prerequisite for dharmic deliberation about peace or war.
After visiting Hastināpura, Kṛṣṇa returns to the Pāṇḍavas at Upaplavya and recounts the full proceedings and outcomes of his mission, setting up the next phase of strategy and moral debate.
