भीष्मद्रोणयोर्दुर्योधनं प्रति शमोपदेशः | Bhīṣma and Droṇa’s Counsel of Conciliation to Duryodhana
ततो विसर्जयामास भीष्मादीन् कुरुपुड्रवान् । आरोप्याथ रथे कर्ण प्रायात् सात्यकिना सह,फिर भीष्म आदि प्रधान कुरुवंशियोंको उन्होंने विदा कर दिया और कर्णको रथपर बिठाकर सात्यकिके साथ वहाँसे प्रस्थान किया
tato visarjayāmāsa bhīṣmādīn kurupuṅgavān | āropya atha rathe karṇaṃ prāyāt sātyakinā saha ||
Then that foremost of the Kurus respectfully dismissed Bhīṣma and the other leading elders. Having seated Karṇa upon the chariot, he departed from that place together with Sātyaki.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in moments of escalating conflict, dharmic conduct is shown through proper protocol—taking leave of elders and proceeding with clarity of purpose. The verse highlights disciplined transition from deliberation to action without abandoning respect for senior authority.
The speaker narrates that the leading Kuru figure dismisses Bhīṣma and other principal Kurus, then places Karṇa on a chariot and departs with Sātyaki, indicating coordinated movement and strategic urgency as events move toward war.
