मुचुकुन्दस्ततो राजा सोडन्वशासद् वसुन्धराम् | बाहुवीर्यार्जितां सम्यक् क्षत्रधर्ममनुव्रत:,तदनन्तर क्षत्रियधर्ममें तत्पर रहनेवाले राजा मुचुकुन्दने अपने बाहुबलसे प्राप्त की हुई इस पृथ्वीका न्यायपूर्वक शासन किया
Mucukundas tato rājā so 'nv aśāsad vasundharām | bāhuvīryārjitāṁ samyak kṣatradharmam anuvrataḥ ||
Then King Mucukunda ruled the earth with justice—this realm he had won by the strength of his own arms—remaining steadfastly devoted to the dharma of a kṣatriya.
वायुदेव उवाच
Strength and conquest are not ends in themselves; a kṣatriya must convert power into just administration, ruling in accordance with dharma rather than mere force.
Vāyudeva describes how King Mucukunda, after gaining sovereignty through his own valor, proceeds to govern the earth properly, remaining committed to the warrior-ruler’s code.
