Adhyāya 128 — Proposal to Restrain Keśava; Sātyaki’s Warning and Vidura–Dhṛtarāṣṭra Counsel
आत्मानमेव प्रथम द्वेष्यरूपेण योजयेत् । ततोअमात्यानमित्रांश्व न मोघं विजिगीषते
Therefore, let him first set his own mind in the place of the enemy and conquer it. Only then should he seek victory over ministers and foes. Thus his longing for conquest is never rendered fruitless.
