Educational Q&A

Even for righteous heroes, dharma can require patience, discretion, and strategic concealment when circumstances are hostile; one should preserve life and purpose without abandoning ethical conduct, and honor the support of virtuous householders.

Vaiśaṃpāyana reports that the Pāṇḍavas, along with their mother Kuntī, remained hidden for a long time in Ekacakrā, staying in the home of a brāhmaṇa—an exile phase marked by anonymity and careful avoidance of enemies.
