हीनयालक्षणै: सर्वेस्तथानिन्दितया मया । आचार प्रतिगृह्नन्त्या सिद्धि: प्राप्तेयमुत्तमा,“समस्त अशुभ लक्षणोंसे हीन और अनिन्दित रहकर सदाचारका पालन करते हुए ही मैंने यह उत्तम सिद्धि प्राप्त की है
hīnayā lakṣaṇaiḥ sarvais tathā ninditayā mayā | ācāra-pratigṛhṇantyā siddhiḥ prāpteyam uttamā ||
Narada said: “Free from every inauspicious mark, and living in a manner beyond reproach, I embraced right conduct; by accepting and upholding such disciplined virtue, I attained this highest spiritual accomplishment.”
नारद उवाच
The verse teaches that the highest success (siddhi) is grounded in ethical discipline (ācāra): living free from inauspicious traits and in a blameless, socially and morally irreproachable way leads to supreme attainment.
Narada is describing the basis of his own exalted status, attributing it not to power or birth but to sustained right conduct and a life free from censurable behavior.
