Kaṇva said: “O Blessed Lord! By your arm—bearing a form befitting the very essence of the world, and laid upon me as if without effort—I have been crushed and cast down upon the earth.”
कण्व उवाच
The verse highlights humility before a higher moral-spiritual authority: true power (symbolized by the Lord’s arm) overwhelms ego, and the proper response is reverent recognition rather than resistance or pride.
Kaṇva addresses a revered ‘Bhagavān’ and describes being physically overpowered—‘crushed’ and brought to the ground—by the effortless placement of the Lord’s arm, emphasizing the disparity between human frailty and divine potency.
