एतस्य हि पिता नागश्चिकुरो नाम मातले | नचिराद् वैनतेयेन पञ्चत्वमुपपादित:,सूत! इसके पिता नागराज चिकुर थे, जिन्हें थोड़े ही दिन पहले गरुड़ने अपना ग्रास बना लिया है
etasya hi pitā nāgaś cikuro nāma mātale | nacirād vainateyena pañcatvam upapāditaḥ, sūta |
Nārada said: “O Mātali, this one’s father was the Nāga named Cikura. Not long ago, O Sūta, he was brought to death—made to meet his end—by Vainateya (Garuḍa).”
