स ता गिर: पुरस्ताद वै श्रुतपूर्वा पुन: पुन: । ग्लानानां दुःखितानां च नाभ्यजानत पाण्डव:,महान् कष्ट और दु:खमें पड़े हुए प्राणियोंकी वे ही पहलेकी सुनी हुई करुणाजनक बातें सामनेकी ओरसे बारंबार उनके कानोंमें पड़ने लगीं तो भी वे पाण्डुकुमार उन्हें पहचान न सके
Translation
Those very voices—piteous words he had heard before—kept reaching him from the front again and again, the cries of the weary and afflicted; yet the Pāṇḍava, son of Pāṇḍu, could not recognize them.
