Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 2 — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry for His Kin and the Vision of a Punitive Realm

युधिष्ठिरस्तु निर्विण्णस्तेन गन्धेन मूर्च्छित: । निवर्तने धृतमना: पर्यावर्तत भारत,भरतनन्दन! युधिष्ठिर वहाँकी दुर्गन्‍न्धसे घबरा गये थे। उन्हें मूर्च्छा-सी आने लगी थी। इसलिये उन्होंने मनमें लौट जानेका ही निश्चय किया और उस निश्चयके अनुसार वे लौट पड़े

But Yudhiṣṭhira, disheartened, was nearly overcome and faint with that stench. Therefore he resolved in his mind to turn back, and in accordance with that resolve, O descendant of Bharata, he began to return.
