हतो5पि लभते स्वर्ग हत्वा च लभते यश: । उभयं नो बहुगुणं नास्ति निष्फलता रणे,युद्धमें जो मारा जाता है, वह स्वर्गलोक प्राप्त कर लेता है और जो शत्रुको मारता है, उसे यशकी प्राप्ति होती है। ये दोनों ही अवस्थाएँ हमलोगोंके लिये बहुत लाभदायक हैं। युद्धमें निष्फलता तो है ही नहीं
Translation
He who is slain in battle attains heaven, and he who slays the foe attains renown. Both outcomes are of great gain to us; in war there is no fruitlessness.
