Yuddha-yajña-vyākhyāna (The Battle as Sacrifice): Ambarīṣa–Indra Saṃvāda

नीलचर्मावृतै: खड्गैर्बाहुभि: परिघोपमै:

nīlacarmāvṛtaiḥ khaḍgair bāhubhiḥ parighopamaiḥ

Ambarīṣa describes warriors whose arms, like iron clubs, wield swords sheathed in dark leather—an image emphasizing formidable martial readiness and the intimidating force that accompanies unrighteous aggression as well as disciplined protection when aligned with dharma.
