भेदाद् विनाश: संघानां संघमुख्योडसि केशव । यथा त्वां प्राप्य नोत्सीदेदयं संघस्तथा कुरु,केशव! आप इस यादवसंघके मुखिया हैं। यदि इसमें फूट हो गयी तो इस समूचे संघका विनाश हो जायगा; अतः आप ऐसा करें जिससे आपको पाकर इस संघका--इस यादवगणततन्त्र राज्यका मूलोच्छेद न हो जाय
Translation
O Keśava, you are the foremost of the Yādava confederacy. If division arises, this entire body will be destroyed. Therefore act so that, having you as its refuge, this community—this republican realm of the Yādavas—does not come to be cut off at the root.
