Shloka 30

विवृत्य हि यथाकामं गृहद्वाराणि शेरते । मनुष्या रक्षिता राज्ञा समन्‍्तादकुतो भया:,राजासे रक्षित हुए मनुष्य सब ओरसे निर्भय हो जाते हैं और अपनी इच्छाके अनुसार घरके दरवाजे खोलकर सोते हैं

vivṛtya hi yathākāmaṁ gṛha-dvārāṇi śerate | manuṣyā rakṣitā rājñā samantād akuto-bhayāḥ ||

When a king provides true protection, people become fearless on every side. Then, as they please, they can leave their house-doors open and sleep in peace—showing that the ruler’s foremost duty is to remove insecurity and uphold public order.
