राजवृत्त-रक्षा-प्रणिधि-षाड्गुण्योपदेशः

न यज्ञा: सम्प्रवर्तेयुविधिवत्‌ स्वाप्तदक्षिणा: । न विवाहा: समाजो वा यदि राजा न पालयेत्‌,यदि राजा जगतकी रक्षा न करे तो विधिवत पर्याप्त दक्षिणाओंसे युक्त यज्ञोंका अनुष्ठान बंद हो जाय, विवाह न हो और सामाजिक कार्य रुक जायँ

Transliteration

na yajñāḥ sampravarteyuḥ vidhivat svāptadakṣiṇāḥ | na vivāhāḥ samājo vā yadi rājā na pālayet ||

Translation

Vasumanā said: “If the king does not protect and govern, then sacrifices performed according to rule and furnished with proper fees would cease; marriages would not take place, and the ordered life of society itself would come to a halt.”
