Varṇa-dharma and Rājadharma: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry and Bhīṣma’s Normative Outline (वर्णधर्म-राजधर्म-प्रश्नोत्तरम्)

अध्यायानां सहस्नरेण काव्य: संक्षेपमब्रवीत्‌ । तच्छास्त्रममितप्रज्ञो योगाचार्यो महायशा:,फिर महायशस्वी, योगशास्त्रके आचार्य तथा अमित बुद्धिमान्‌ शुक्राचार्यने एक हजार अध्यायोंमें उस शास्त्रका संक्षेप किया

adhyāyānāṁ sahasreṇa kāvyaḥ saṁkṣepam abravīt | tacchāstram amitaprajño yogācāryo mahāyaśā ||

Bhīṣma said: The illustrious teacher of Yoga, Śukrācārya—renowned and of immeasurable intellect—set forth a concise compendium of that doctrine, compressing it into a thousand chapters. In this way, a vast body of teaching was rendered accessible through disciplined summary and authoritative instruction.
