त॑ साक्षात्‌ पृथिवी भेजे रत्नान्यादाय पाण्डव,पाण्डुनन्दन युधिष्ठिर! उस समय साक्षात्‌ पृथ्वी देवी रत्नोंकी भेंट लेकर उनकी सेवामें उपस्थित हुई थी। सरिताओंके स्वामी समुद्र, पर्वतोंमें श्रेष्ठ हिमवान्‌ तथा देवराज इन्द्रने अक्षय धन समर्पित किया

tāṁ sākṣāt pṛthivī bheje ratnāny ādāya pāṇḍava, pāṇḍunandana yudhiṣṭhira! tadā sākṣāt pṛthivī-devī ratnānāṁ bheṭaṁ gṛhītvā teṣāṁ sevāyām upasthitā āsīt. saritāṁ svāmī samudraḥ, parvateṣu śreṣṭho himavān tathā devarāja indraś ca akṣaya-dhanaṁ samarpitavān.

Bhīṣma said: “O Pāṇḍava, O Yudhiṣṭhira, son of Pāṇḍu! At that time the very Earth herself came in person, bringing jewels as an offering and standing ready in service. The Ocean, lord of rivers, the Himālaya—foremost among mountains—and Indra, king of the gods, likewise presented inexhaustible wealth.”
