वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic social order and ethical restraint through respectful attendance upon an elder king. In the Shānti context, such gathering signals readiness for counsel, reflection, and the restoration of moral equilibrium after catastrophe.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yuyutsu, Sañjaya, and Gāndhārī move to the side where Dhṛtarāṣṭra is and sit there, indicating a formal assembly around the blind king as events proceed toward instruction and deliberation.
