दानपात्रापात्र-निर्णयः / Determining Worthy Gifts, Recipients, and Permissible Food
अभियाने तु पार्थस्य नरैर्नगरवासिभि: । नगरं राजमार्गाश्च॒ यथावत्समलड्कृता:,राजा युधिष्ठिरकी इस यात्राके समय नगरनिवासी मनुष्योंने समूचे नगर तथा वहाँकी सड़कोंको अच्छी तरहसे सजा दिया था
vaiśampāyana uvāca | abhiyāne tu pārthasya narair nagaravāsibhiḥ | nagaraṃ rājamārgāś ca yathāvat samalaṅkṛtāḥ |
Vaiśampāyana said: When Pārtha (Yudhiṣṭhira) set out, the townspeople decorated the entire city and its royal highways in proper and fitting manner.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights loka-saṅgraha (maintenance of social order): when a righteous undertaking begins, the community participates through orderly, auspicious public conduct, expressing respect for dharma and legitimate authority.
As Pārtha (Arjuna) departs on an expedition, the city’s residents decorate the city and the main royal roads, preparing a proper public send-off and marking the event as significant and auspicious.
