दानपात्रापात्र-निर्णयः / Determining Worthy Gifts, Recipients, and Permissible Food
आस्थाय तु रथं शु्र॑ युक्तमश्वैर्मनोजवै: । अन्वयात् पृष्ठतो राजन युयुत्सु: पाण्डवाग्रजम्
āsthāya tu rathaṁ śubhraṁ yuktam aśvair manojavaiḥ | anvayāt pṛṣṭhato rājan yuyutsuḥ pāṇḍavāgrajam ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Then Yuyutsu mounted a gleaming chariot yoked with mind-swift horses and followed behind the eldest of the Pāṇḍavas, King Yudhiṣṭhira. The scene underscores loyal attendance upon a righteous ruler and the ethic of steadfast support in the aftermath of conflict.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic ideal of loyal, disciplined support to a righteous leader—service rendered through orderly conduct and steadfast companionship rather than self-assertion.
Yuyutsu mounts a bright chariot drawn by very swift horses and proceeds behind Yudhiṣṭhira, indicating that he is accompanying and following the eldest Pāṇḍava as events move forward in the Śānti Parva.
