उक्तानुक्ते कृते कार्ये मामामन्त्र्य द्विजर्षभ | मया प्रत्यभ्यनुज्ञातस्ततो यास्यसि सुव्रत
uktānukte kṛte kārye mām āmantrya dvijarṣabha | mayā pratyabhyanujñātas tato yāsyasi suvrata ||
The Nāga said: “Whether you speak of it or not, when the task to be done has been completed, O best of Brahmins, you should first address me and seek my leave. Only after receiving my permission may you depart for your home, O man of excellent vows.”
