Educational Q&A

The verse is a colophon rather than a doctrinal statement: it signals the completion of a Mokṣadharma chapter that uses the Ucchavṛttikā episode as an illustrative tale, situating ethical instruction within the broader pursuit of liberation (mokṣa) and right conduct (dharma).

The speaker’s line functions as an editorial closing: it announces that the chapter concerning the Ucchavṛttikā upākhyāna within the Mokṣadharma portion of Śānti Parva has concluded.
