सम्प्राप्तश्न भवानद्य कृतार्थ: प्रतियास्यति । विस्रब्धो मां द्विजश्रेष्ठ विषये योक्तुमहसि,द्विजश्रेष्ठ जब आप यहाँतक आ गये हैं, तब अब कृतार्थ होकर ही यहाँसे लौटेंगे; अतः बेखटके मुझे अपने अभीष्ट कार्यके साधनमें लगाइये
samprāptaś ca bhavān adya kṛtārthaḥ pratiyāsyati | visrabdho māṃ dvijaśreṣṭha viṣaye yoktum arhasi ||
“Now that you have reached this place today, you will return only after your purpose is fulfilled. Therefore, O best of twice-born, act without hesitation and employ me in the means to accomplish the task you desire.”
नाग उवाच
The verse emphasizes purposeful action supported by courage and trust: once a righteous seeker has come this far, he should not retreat until the aim is achieved, and he should accept appropriate help without fear or hesitation.
A Nāga addresses a brahmin respectfully, assuring him that his journey will not be in vain and inviting him to confidently enlist the Nāga’s aid as an instrument for accomplishing the brahmin’s intended objective.
