सो<$तिथिरवी॑चनं तस्य श्र॒ुत्वा धर्माभिभाषिण: । प्रोवाच वचन “लक्षण प्राज्ञो मधुरया गिरा,धर्मयुक्त वचन बोलनेवाले उस ब्राह्मणकी बात सुनकर उस विद्वान् अतिथिने मधुर वाणीमें यह उत्तम वचन कहा
so 'tithir avīcanaṁ tasya śrutvā dharmābhibhāṣiṇaḥ | provāca vacanaṁ lakṣaṇa-prājño madhurayā girā ||
Hearing the words of that Brahmin, who was speaking in accordance with dharma, the wise guest—discerning the true marks of right conduct—replied in a gentle voice, offering an excellent counsel.
ब्राह्मण उवाच
Speech aligned with dharma should be met with discerning, gentle counsel; wisdom expresses itself not only in content but also in the sweetness and restraint of one’s words.
A Brahmin speaks in a dharma-centered manner; the guest, recognized as wise and steady-minded, listens and then responds with a refined, gentle statement that sets up further instruction.
