Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Pāñcarātravido ye tu yathākramaparā nṛpa | ekāntabhāvopagatās te hariṃ praviśanti vai ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O king, those who truly know the Pāñcarātra teaching and, in the prescribed order, remain devoted to its disciplines—having taken refuge in single-minded devotion—indeed enter into Hari. The ethical point is that liberation is not claimed through mere learning, but through disciplined practice joined to exclusive surrender to the Lord.”

Educational Q&A

True attainment of Hari comes from single-minded devotion and surrender supported by disciplined practice in the prescribed order; knowledge alone is insufficient without lived commitment.

Vaiśampāyana, in the didactic setting of Śānti Parva, states a doctrinal conclusion: practitioners who follow the Pāñcarātra path with exclusive devotion ultimately attain union with Hari.
