Vaiśampāyana said: “Thus I have recounted to you the earlier account of my own birth—how it came about through the grace of Nārāyaṇa, and how it was born of Nārāyaṇa’s own portion.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse emphasizes that spiritual authority and life’s beginnings are rooted in Nārāyaṇa’s grace; the narrator’s origin is presented as divinely sanctioned, reinforcing faith in the sacred transmission of dharma-teachings.
Vaiśaṃpāyana concludes or summarizes a prior account, stating that he has already told the listeners about his own earlier birth and that it occurred through Nārāyaṇa’s favor and as an expression of Nārāyaṇa’s aṃśa.
