अध्याय ३५१ — उञ्छवृत्ति-व्रतसिद्धेः मानुषस्य परमगतिः

तदेतत्‌ कथितं जन्म मया पूर्वकमात्मन: । नारायणप्रसादेन तथा नारायणांशजम्‌,“नारायणकी कृपासे और उन्हींके अंशसे जो पहले मेरा जन्म हुआ था, उसका यह वत्तान्त मैंने तुम सब लोगोंसे कहा है

tadetat kathitaṃ janma mayā pūrvakam ātmanaḥ | nārāyaṇaprasādena tathā nārāyaṇāṃśajam ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “Thus I have recounted to you the earlier account of my own birth—how it came about through the grace of Nārāyaṇa, and how it was born of Nārāyaṇa’s own portion.”
