Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes that rightful status and leadership within cosmic and moral order are ultimately grounded in merit affirmed by spiritual authority and grace; assurance (na saṁśayaḥ) underscores the certainty of ordained responsibility.

Vaiśampāyana reports a pronouncement that, in a future Manvantara, the addressed person will stand foremost among the assemblies associated with Manu, attaining that position through the speaker’s favor and blessing.
