Shloka 42

तेन भिन्नास्तदा वेदा मनो: स्वायम्भुवेडन्तरे । ततस्तुतोष भगवान्‌ हरिस्तेनास्य कर्मणा

tena bhinnās tadā vedā manoḥ svāyambhuve 'ntare | tatas tutoṣa bhagavān haris tenāsya karmaṇā ||

Vaiśampāyana said: By that act, the Vedas became divided in the Manvantara of Manu Svāyambhuva. Thereupon the Blessed Lord Hari was pleased with him because of that deed.
