Vaiśampāyana said: “Let your great sacrifice proceed, just as you have resolved. You have resolved upon the Aśvamedha, and you have truly heard and understood dharma in its real essence.”

That major religious action (a great sacrifice like the Aśvamedha) should be grounded in a clear vow (saṅkalpa) and guided by a true understanding of dharma (tattvataḥ), not merely by outward ritual performance.
The narrator Vaiśampāyana affirms that the listener’s planned great sacrifice should continue as intended, noting that the person has already resolved to perform the Aśvamedha and has received authentic instruction in dharma.
