Arjuna said: “Moreover, in this connection there are verses from the ‘Song of Sanatkumāra’. In the beginning Brahmā—the primal source of all—created the stainless universe. And the immortal gods, whose very origin is in Brahman, attain heaven through the sacred Vedic sound—the brahma-chant—of the Brāhmaṇas.”

The verse links cosmic order and spiritual ascent to Brahman and Vedic sound: Brahmā creates the pristine cosmos, and the gods themselves are said to reach heaven through the brahma-ghoṣa—Vedic recitation—associated with Brāhmaṇas, underscoring the ethical-religious authority of sacred speech and ritual knowledge.
Arjuna, while discussing the topic at hand, cites supporting testimony from the Sanatkumāra-gītā. He quotes verses that praise Brahmā’s primordial creation and emphasize that even the immortals are connected to Brahman and are guided to heaven by Vedic chant.
