धर्मस्य बहुद्वारत्वम् — Nārada’s Audience with Indra (Śānti-parva 340)

नष्टे पुनर्बलात्‌ काल आनयत्यमित्युति: । तथा बलादहं पृथ्वीं सर्वभूतहिताय वै,“जैसे अमिततेजस्वी काल सूर्यके अदृश्य होनेपर पुनः बलपूर्वक उसे दृष्टिपथमें ला देता है, उसी प्रकार मैं भी समस्त प्राणियोंके हितके लिये इस पृथ्वीको समुद्रके जलसे बलपूर्वक ऊपर लाता हूँ

Bhīṣma said: “Just as mighty Time, of immeasurable radiance, when the sun has vanished, brings it back by force into the field of sight—so too do I, for the welfare of all beings, raise this earth up by power from the waters of the ocean.”
