Bhīṣma said: “All of them worship the Supreme Self on every side. O delight of the Bharatas, having heard this episode from my father’s own lips, I have now described it to you. The gods, the sages, and indeed any people who have heard this ancient wisdom—each of them, in every direction of life, turns to the worship of the Supreme.”

Educational Q&A

Those who truly receive and understand the ancient spiritual teaching naturally turn toward honoring the Paramātmā everywhere—devotion becomes universal, not confined to a single place, group, or circumstance.

Bhīṣma continues instructing Yudhiṣṭhira in Śānti Parva, stating that he is recounting an episode he heard directly from his father, and emphasizing that gods, sages, and all hearers of this old wisdom worship the Supreme in all directions of life.
