एकान्तिधर्म-प्रश्नः (Inquiry into Ekāntin Dharma) / The Origin and Practice of Single-Pointed Nārāyaṇa-Centered Discipline
नारायणानुशास्ता हि तदा देवी सरस्वती । विवेश तानृषीन् सर्वाल्लॉंकानां हितकाम्यया
nārāyaṇānuśāstā hi tadā devī sarasvatī | viveśa tān ṛṣīn sarvāl lokānāṃ hitakāmyayā ||
Bhīṣma said: At that time, the goddess Sarasvatī—acting under Nārāyaṇa’s command—entered into all those sages, moved by the wish to bring welfare to all the worlds.
भीष्म उवाच
True knowledge and eloquent teaching (Sarasvatī) are presented as divinely guided and ethically directed: inspiration should serve lokahita—universal welfare—rather than personal gain.
Under Nārāyaṇa’s instruction, Sarasvatī enters the assembled sages, empowering them from within so that their insight and speech may benefit all the worlds.
