Educational Q&A

Even a person renowned as a knower of the highest dharma must remain vigilant about the mind’s movement; hearing persuasive speech can momentarily draw attention outward, so steadiness and mindful restraint are essential to ethical clarity.

Urvaśī speaks, and Śuka listens; upon hearing her, he looks around in all directions, showing that his attention has been momentarily captured by her words and that an inner response has been stirred.
