उर्वश्या वचन श्रुत्वा शुक: परमधर्मवित् । उदैक्षत दिश: सर्वा वचने गतमानस:,उर्वशीकी बात सुनकर परम धर्मज्ञ शुकदेवजीने सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंकी ओर देखा। उस समय उनका चित्त उसकी बातोंकी ओर चला गया था
urvaśyā vacanaṃ śrutvā śukaḥ paramadharmavit | udaikṣata diśaḥ sarvā vacane gatamānasaḥ ||
Hearing Urvaśī’s words, Śuka—supremely versed in dharma—looked out in all directions. For at that moment his mind had been drawn toward what she had said.
शुक उवाच
Even a person renowned as a knower of the highest dharma must remain vigilant about the mind’s movement; hearing persuasive speech can momentarily draw attention outward, so steadiness and mindful restraint are essential to ethical clarity.
Urvaśī speaks, and Śuka listens; upon hearing her, he looks around in all directions, showing that his attention has been momentarily captured by her words and that an inner response has been stirred.
