त्यज धर्ममधर्म च उभे सत्यानृते त्यज । उभे सत्यानृते त्यक्त्वा येन त्यजसि तं॑ त्यज,धर्म और अधर्मको छोड़ो। सत्य और असत्य दोनोंका त्याग करो। सत्य और असत्य दोनोंका त्याग करके जिससे त्याग करते हो, उस अहंकारको भी त्याग दो

Transliteration

tyaja dharmam adharmaṃ ca ubhe satyānṛte tyaja | ubhe satyānṛte tyaktvā yena tyajasi taṃ tyaja ||

Translation

Nārada said: “Abandon both dharma and adharma; abandon both truth and untruth. Having renounced both truth and untruth, renounce even that by which you renounce—let go of the very ‘I’ (ego) that claims the act of renunciation.”
