सकूलमूलबान्धवं प्रभुर्हरत्यसड्रवान् । न सन्ति यस्य वारका: कुरुष्व धर्मसंनिधिम्,सर्वसमर्थ काल किसीके प्रति भी स्नेह नहीं करता। वह कूल और मूल अर्थात् आदि-अन्तसहित समस्त बन्धु-बान्धवोंको हर ले जाता है। उसको रोकनेवाले कोई नहीं हैं; इसलिये तुम धर्मका संचय करो
Translation
Vyāsa said: “All-powerful Time bears affection for none. It carries off, without hesitation, one’s whole line and root—beginning and end—of kinsmen and companions. None can bar its course; therefore, store up dharma.”
