देवतापितृप्रश्नः — Nārada at Badarīāśrama: the ultimate referent of daiva and pitṛ worship

महापदानि कत्थसे न चाप्यवेक्षसे परम् । चिरस्य मृत्युकारिकामनागतां न बुध्यसे,तुम ब्रह्मलोक आदि बड़े-बड़े स्थानोंकी बातें तो बनाते हो, परंतु परमपदपर तुम्हारी दृष्टि नहीं है। भविष्यमें जो मृत्युकी परिचारिका वृद्धावस्था आनेवाली है, उसका तुम्हें पता ही नहीं है
Translation
You boast of lofty realms such as Brahmaloka and the like, yet your gaze is not set upon the supreme state, the Paramapada. And old age—the handmaid of death that will come in time—you do not even perceive.
