Educational Q&A

Brāhmaṇahood—understood as a hard-won ethical and spiritual discipline—is rare to attain in human life; once obtained, it must be carefully protected through right conduct, restraint, and fidelity to dharma.

Vyāsa addresses his son, warning that beings pass through many embodied conditions and only seldom reach the state of brāhmaṇya; he urges the son to preserve that status and its duties rather than squander it.
