ऑपन- मा छा अप ऋाल एकादशाधिकत्रिशततमो< ध्याय: अव्यक्त, महत्तत्त्व, अहंकार, मन और विषयोंकी कालसंख्याका एवं सृष्टिका वर्णन तथा इन्द्रियोंमें मनकी प्रधानताका प्रतिपादन याज़्ञवल्क्य उवाच अव्यक्तस्य नरश्रेष्ठ कालसंख्यां निबोध मे । पञ्चकल्पसहस्राणि द्विगुणान्यहरुच्यते

Transliteration

Yājñavalkya uvāca: Avyaktasya naraśreṣṭha kālasaṅkhyāṃ nibodha me | pañca-kalpa-sahasrāṇi dviguṇāny ahar ucyate ||

Translation

Yājñavalkya said: “O best of men, learn from me the measure of time that pertains to the Unmanifest. Five thousand kalpas are spoken of; and a ‘day’ is said to be twice that amount.”
