पञ्चविंशतिमो विष्णुरनिस्तत्त्वस्तत्त्वसंज्ञित: । तत्त्वसंश्रयणादेतत् तत्त्वमाहुर्मनीषिण:,इन चौबीस तत्त्वोंसे परे जो भगवान् विष्णु (सर्वव्यापी परमात्मा) हैं, उन्हें पचीसवाँ तत्त्व कहा गया है। तत्त्वोंको आश्रय देनेके कारण ही मनीषी पुरुष उन्हें तत्त्व कहते हैं
Translation
Vasiṣṭha said: “Beyond these twenty-four tattvas stands Lord Viṣṇu—the all-pervading Supreme Self—who is called the twenty-fifth tattva. Because he is the support and ground of the tattvas, the wise therefore speak of him as ‘tattva’.”
