Adhyātma–Adhibhūta–Adhidaivata Correspondences and the Triguṇa Lakṣaṇas (Śānti-parva 301)

Bhishma said: “O son of Kuntī, it is well known that this Sāṅkhya teaching itself is the ‘form’ of the formless Supreme Self. O best of the Bharatas, all branches of knowledge affirm the standpoint of Sāṅkhya. And, O lord of the earth, on this earthly plane beings are found to be of two kinds—immobile and mobile, as taught by the tradition. Of these, the mobile beings are regarded as superior.”
