Śānti-parva Adhyāya 30: Nārada–Parvata Samaya-bhaṅga, Śāpa, and the Marriage of Sukumārī

Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: “This is not fitting for you at all, for you stand to me in the place of a son.” In their exchange, the two sages then annulled each other’s curses. And when Nārada was seen in a godlike, radiant form, a tender young woman, seized by fear, fled away.
One should act in a manner consistent with dharma and one’s relational role; retaliatory or spite-driven actions are ‘visadṛśa’ (unbecoming), especially toward those regarded with familial affection and responsibility.
Kṛṣṇa rebukes someone for behavior he deems inappropriate, emphasizing that the person stands to him ‘in the place of a son,’ and therefore should not engage in conduct unworthy of that relationship.
