पराशर उवाच प्रतिग्रहो याजनं च तथैवाध्यापनं नृप । विशेषधर्मा विप्राणां रक्षा क्षत्रस्य शोभना,पराशरजीने कहा--राजन! दान लेना, यज्ञ कराना तथा विद्या पढ़ाना--ये ब्राह्मणोंके विशेष धर्म हैं (जो उनकी जीविकाके साधन हैं)। प्रजाकी रक्षा करना क्षत्रियके लिये श्रेष्ठ धर्म है
Translation
Parāśara said: “O king, accepting gifts, officiating sacrifices for others, and teaching sacred learning—these are the particular duties of Brahmins. Protecting the people is the most excellent duty of Kṣatriyas.”
