Educational Q&A

Wealth should be acquired only through clean, just, and dharmic means; abandoning nyāya (justice) and dharma for artha (gain) is not true kalyāṇa (welfare).

In Śānti Parva’s instruction-oriented discourse, the sage Parāśara delivers a moral maxim: the wise should avoid accumulating riches through tainted methods, emphasizing that unethical gain cannot be called genuinely beneficial.
