Educational Q&A

The verse elevates dāna (generosity) performed in a dharmic context—especially connected with yajña—as an unsurpassed royal virtue, presenting extraordinary giving as a benchmark of righteous conduct.

Vāyudeva is praising Aṅga’s famed gifts given during seven Soma-sacrificial sessions, declaring that no other person has matched—or will match—the magnitude of that generosity.
