यदद्गः प्रददौ वित्तं सोमसंस्थासु सप्तसु । “अंगराजने सातों सोम-संस्थाओंमें* जो धन दिया था, उतना जो दे सके, ऐसा दूसरा न तो कोई मनुष्य पैदा हुआ है और न पैदा होगा
yad aṅgaḥ pradadau vittaṃ somasaṃsthāsu saptasu |
Vāyu said: “The wealth that Aṅga (the king of Aṅga) bestowed in the seven Soma-sacrificial sessions—no other human has been born, nor will be born, who could give in equal measure.”
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse elevates dāna (generosity) performed in a dharmic context—especially connected with yajña—as an unsurpassed royal virtue, presenting extraordinary giving as a benchmark of righteous conduct.
Vāyudeva is praising Aṅga’s famed gifts given during seven Soma-sacrificial sessions, declaring that no other person has matched—or will match—the magnitude of that generosity.
