सहसा घातयामास देवदेव: पिनाकधृक् । तदनन्तर सम्पूर्ण योगेश्वरोंके भी ईश्वर महातेजस्वी देवाधिदेव पिनाकधारी शिवने योगबलका आश्रय ले अपने भयानक सेवकोंद्वारा उस यज्ञको सहसा नष्ट करा दिया ॥। ३२ हे || केचिन्नादानमुज्चन्त केचिद्धासांश्व॒ चक्रिरे
kecin nādānam uñjanti kecid dhāsāṃś ca cakrire
Bhishma said: Some raised loud cries, while others hastily made arrangements for flight and concealment. In the sudden ruin of the sacrifice, the assembly broke into panic—voices rose in confusion, and people acted out of fear rather than steadiness of mind.
