Parāśara’s Counsel on बुद्धि (Discernment), Karma-Consequences, and Avoidance of Pāpānubandha Actions
ततो बृहस्पतिर्धीमानुपागम्य शतक्रतुम् । वसिष्ठ श्ष महातेजा: सर्वे च परमर्षय:,तत्पश्चात् बुद्धिमान् बृहस्पति, महातेस्वी वसिष्ठ तथा सम्पूर्ण महर्षि वरदायक, लोकपूजित शतक्रतु इन्द्रके पास जाकर एकाग्रचित्त हो इस प्रकार बोले--'प्रभो! वृत्रासुरका वध करो”
tato bṛhaspatir dhīmān upāgamya śatakratum | vasiṣṭhaś ca mahātejāḥ sarve ca paramarṣayaḥ ||
Bhīṣma said: Thereafter the wise Bṛhaspati approached Śatakratu (Indra). Along with him came the radiant Vasiṣṭha and all the foremost seers. With minds gathered into single-pointed resolve, they addressed Indra, urging him to undertake the slaying of Vṛtrāsura—presenting it as a necessary act for the protection of the worlds and the restoration of cosmic order.
