Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Śānti Parvan—specifically the Mokṣa-dharma section—concludes the two-hundred-and-eightieth chapter, belonging to the passages known as the Vṛtra-gītā. This is a colophon marking the end of the chapter and situating the teaching within the larger ethical and liberative discourse delivered by Bhīṣma.

This line is not a teaching-verse but a colophon: it identifies the textual location (Śānti Parvan → Mokṣa-dharma) and labels the chapter as part of the Vṛtra-gītā material, framing the surrounding content as instruction oriented toward liberation and ethical clarity.
The chapter concludes. The colophon signals that Bhīṣma’s discourse (within Mokṣa-dharma) has reached the end of this adhyāya, and it classifies the section under the heading “Vṛtra-gītā,” a named sub-unit within the Mokṣa-dharma discussions.
