Kapila said: “Their understanding is firmly resolved in liberation and in renunciation. Established in the highest reality, having become one with Brahman, they make their dwelling in Brahman alone.”

Liberation is attained through firm discernment rooted in renunciation; the realized person becomes ‘brahmabhūta’—established in the supreme—and abides inwardly in Brahman alone, beyond worldly supports.
In the Shanti Parva’s philosophical instruction, Kapila describes the state of accomplished seekers: their intellect is decisively oriented to moksha and renunciation, culminating in Brahman-realization and unwavering absorption in the highest reality.
